SA Group’s Paul Wilcock is taking on the London Marathon to raise money for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity this October.

The Virgin Money London Marathon will take place on Sunday 3rd October 2021, beginning near Blackheath in Greenwich and finishing at Buckingham Palace.

Paul, a former member of the Royal Corps of Signals, decided to raise money for SSAFA after the charity supported his mother. He said: “My Father was REME. SSAFA supported my mother in the past. She used to talk fondly of the work SSAFA did to support her and her family.

Paul currently works as a Senior Project Management Consultant at SA Group. The company has recently been awarded the Gold Employer Recognition Scheme Award by the Armed Forces Covenant, and continues to support veterans with their ongoing careers.

In my current role, I work with many members of the Armed Forces so I’m keen to raise as much money as possible to support the community. I will also be running the Swindon Half in September, The Great South Run and Newport Marathon in October, and the Reading Half Marathon in November.”

Paul is hoping to raise £1,000 for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. If you would like to support him, please visit uk.virginmoneygiving.com/PaulWilcock3
